Lauren, a proud member of the Cheyenne River Lakota Tribe, has worn many hats (and jerseys) in her lifetime—from a retired professional athlete, to an artist weaving stories and culture into modern textiles.

After graduating from the University of San Diego with a BA in Anthropology and secondary studies in English, Lauren has focused her efforts on empowering youth and advocating for authentic representation in sports and media. She has had the privilege of working in various creative spaces, collaborating with diverse individuals to enrich her understanding and approach to storytelling.
